For the past 10 years i’ve been wearing hair extensions i’ve worn them so long now that without them i don’t feel right or like “me.” Even though my hair is now long i still like to add a bit more thickness to my fine hair in these past 10 years i’ve tried a lot of brands and methods. However this was the first time i had tried tape ins and the brand easilocks so i was pretty excited to try something new.
You may have already heard of easilocks as they have quite an extensive range of celebrity clients to name a few

i’ed had a terrible experience with another big name brand hair extension company the hair was knotty, tangled so easily, and felt dry. I was pretty upset that i had seen lots of celebrities and youtubers endorse this brand and say nothing but positive things. So i was reluctant to try another hyped up big name brand company fearing the same thing may happen again. But my birthday was coming up and i’ed had a pretty shitty few months so i decided to treat myself to some new hair extensions after a lot of research i decided to go with easilocks tape in hair.
So now on to the review
i got the shades “medium brown” and “ Ombre Chocolate latte” and went with the longest length available which is 22 inches each pack of hair weighs 30 grams. I had 90 grams of hair which was more than enough to add dramatic fullness to my fine straight waist length hair.
Before and after

Pros
Application the application was the quickest of any hair extension method i’ve had before it took around 1 hour. The tapes felt very comfortable i could hardly feel them in my head.
Quality this hair is extremely soft and silky with a lustrous shine i never had any issues with tangling there was practically no shedding (i’ve had extensions in the past shed so much that my floors looked i was housing chewbacca) Honestly they are the best hair extensions i have ever had i even dyed them after 4 months as i decided i wanted my hair darker and they felt just as nice after being dyed.
Maintenance this was by far the most manageable hair i’ve ever had it just felt like having my own hair but better i wash my hair once a week in the shower i used the moroccanoil hydrating shampoo and conditioner. When i got out of the shower i would gently pat dry my hair with a towel and apply moroccanoil hair oil to the lengths and ends. I would then blow dry my hair with a paddle brush and once dry use a hair wand on it and that was it! The waves lasted until i washed my hair next. All so if left it to air dry they dried with a bit of a wave but no frizz like most hair extensions do.
Life span Even after 7 months of wear the hair felt amazing and styled really easily and literally felt like it did when it was brand new. Reckon i could have worn this hair for at least another 6 months if it wasn’t for me wanting to change my hair to a lighter colour as you can only dye extensions darker not lighter.
Cons
Fading there was noticeable colour fading the first 2-3 washes but this wasn’t really an issue for me personally but i know for others it might be. However it was nothing crazy and didn’t make much of a noticeable colour difference to the extensions. This may vary depending on what colour you have.
Cost despite being the best hair i have tried so far i still think the cost is just a bit too high for the tape in’s you can get the easilock tip extensions in the same amount of grams for less money even though the hair is the same quality. I paid £500 for just 90 grams as i am only adding thickness if you are adding length you will need more packs and the cost could be considerably more.
Overview
If you can afford the cost and you aren’t someone who likes to drastically change your hair colour every few months like me then i totally recommend getting easilocks extensions despite the high cost the life span the quality and the low maintenance makes them more than worth it these extensions could last you 1 year or more if you look after them correctly and don’t mind keeping you hair the same colour while you have them. If you like changing your hair colour from dark to light often then a more budget friendly brand might be for you if you keep in mind you won’t be wearing them for more than a couple of months.
Have you tried easilocks? What was your experience with them? And would anyone be interested in me doing a more budget friendly extensions review and comparing it to easilocks?
