The hair is made of heat-resistant synthetic fibers and is pre styled to look like you have had a salon quality bouncy blow dry, which for me is great as I have naturally pin straight hair that could do with some (a lot) more volume and bounce
Pros
- I found the hair piece very secure while wearing it the clips have silicone lining which stops the hair piece from sliding out.
- I found the hair piece to be really light considering it is 150g of synthetic hair. Synthetic hair is heavier than human hair but the hair on the Megan McKenna bouncy blow hair piece is pretty lightweight as far as synthetic hair goes
- I found the color to be quite natural looking, synthetic hair can sometimes have an odd greenish dull undertone to it
- The texture of the synthetic hair used on this hair piece is all so really good it feels exactly like human hair
Heat styling, you can heat style this hair piece up to 400c. Caution if your heat tools don’t have a temperature reading on them use the lowest heat and test it on a small patch of your hair piece. I used a hair straightener on mine to loosen the curls slightly and had no issues with it affecting the quality
Cons
- I found this hair piece to shed quite a lot, mainly when i first got it i noticed a lot of shedding, but after brushing a few times the shedding has decreased somewhat but is still happening
- tangling within 10 minutes of me wearing the hair piece it tangled up so badly in certain areas, i used my hands to gently finger comb the tangles out but it happened again, and this was just from sitting watching tv, The more i’ve worn it the more tangley it gets i’ve worn it a total of 3 times for about a 4 hour period and it’s become so knotted that it’s now unwearable even after using leave in sprays specifically designed for synthetic hair.
Overview
Overall I think this hair piece would be good for special occasions such as proms, weddings, nights out, but it doesn’t hold up to well when it comes to continued or daily use
